Privacy Policy

Forged is a fitness app made by Torxel Labs ("we," "us," or "our"). It gamifies your training, nutrition, and recovery. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Forged, you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We only collect information needed to run the app and provide your experience:

• Account information: your email address, a username, and an encrypted password.
• Setup answers: the name you give your character, your fitness goals and goal weight, age, biological sex, height and weight, experience and activity level, how often and on which days you train, your dietary preference, whether you have gym access and what equipment you have, your sleep and water goals, and any injuries you choose to share. We use these to personalize your plan, your calorie and macro targets, and your stats.
• Your fitness activity: the logs you create (workouts with their sets, weights, durations and distances, meals and nutrition, water intake, sleep), your saved routines and saved foods, and any progress photos you add. Your daily step count is read from your iPhone's motion sensor if you allow it; it stays on your phone, except that the progress number of a steps quest is saved with your account.
• Character & progress: your chosen class, stats, level, experience points and their history, streaks, your daily quests, and a record of each time you use the AI food scanner or AI workout generator (used to apply usage limits).
• Friends: the friend requests and connections you create with other players, and the leaderboard standings derived from your activity. See "What other players can see" in section 3.
• Camera and photos (optional): if you scan a food barcode, snap a food photo, or add a progress photo, the app uses your camera. You can also pick a progress photo from your photo library. Progress photos are stored privately with your account. A food photo is sent for analysis (see section 3) and is not saved to your account.
• Notifications (optional): if you enable reminders, a device push token is stored with your account. The reminders themselves are scheduled on your phone.
• Subscription status: if you start a Forged Premium trial or subscription, whether it is active. Apple handles the payment; we never see your card details.

We do not collect precise location, contacts, or advertising identifiers. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and maintain your account.
• To save your progress, stats, streaks, and logs.
• To generate personalized quests and, if you use it, AI-assisted workout plans and food analysis.
• To look up foods you search for or scan.
• To show leaderboard standings among friends you connect with.
• To manage your Forged Premium subscription.
• To send reminders you have opted into.

3. How Your Information Is Stored & Shared

Your data is stored using Supabase, our hosting and database provider. Database access rules tie your records to your account: your workout, meal, sleep and water logs, your routines, saved foods, quests and progress photos can be read only by you. What other players can see.Any signed-in Forged player who searches for your username can see your username, level and class. Players you accept as friends can see your username and your character: its name, class, level, experience points and their history, four stats, streak, and the date you were last active, along with your place on the leaderboard. The app shows friends nothing else. A friend's account is, however, also able to read the profile details listed in section 1 (your setup answers), so accept friend requests only from people you trust. You can remove a friend at any time, which ends that access.

Forged uses Anthropic (the Claude AI provider) for its AI features. We never send your name, email address, username, or account ID to Anthropic. Here is exactly what each request contains:

• Daily quests: your class, level, four stat values, your goals, your fitness level, whether today is a training or rest day, your current streak, your daily water goal, and whether your phone can count steps.
• Quest re-rolls: your class, level, four stat values, your goals, your fitness level, whether today is a training or rest day, and the titles of today's quests.
• AI workout generator (Forged Premium): the focus and length you choose, your class, four stat values, your goal, fitness level, equipment, whether you have gym access, and any injuries you shared during onboarding, so the workout can avoid them.
• AI food photo (Forged Premium): the photo you take, and nothing else about you.

Food search and barcodes. When you search for a food, the words you type are sent through our server to USDA FoodData Central, and from your phone to Open Food Facts for packaged products. When you scan a barcode, the barcode number is sent from your phone to Open Food Facts. These requests carry no account details. See usda.gov/privacy-policy and openfoodfacts.org/privacy.

Subscriptions. Forged Premium is sold through Apple, which processes your payment. RevenueCat manages the subscription for us: your Forged account ID is linked to your purchase so Premium follows your account. See apple.com/legal/privacy and revenuecat.com/privacy.

Reminders. If you turn on reminders, your device push token is issued through Expo's notification service and stored with your account. Reminders are scheduled on your phone. See expo.dev/privacy.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties except the service providers above that are necessary to operate the app.

4. Data Retention & Account Deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account at any time from within the app: You → Account → Delete account. Deleting your account immediately and permanently removes it and everything stored with it: your character, profile, progress, workouts, meals, sleep and water logs, routines, saved foods, quests, friend connections, reminder token and progress photos. This action cannot be undone. Deleting your account does not cancel a Forged Premium subscription; cancel it in Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions. Purchase records that Apple and RevenueCat keep under your account ID are not removed by deleting your Forged account.

5. Children's Privacy

Forged is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

6. Your Rights

You may access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time through the app, or by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, including the right to request a copy of your data or to object to certain processing.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be posted on this page.
